The founder of Connectis, Martijn Kaag, stepped back as CEO of our company on 1 October, as agreed during the acquisition by SIDN. He will be focusing more on his family and – through his foundation – on sustainable environmental and climate projects. Roelof Meijer, CEO of SIDN will temporarily take over his tasks until a new CEO for Connectis has been appointed.
Candidates for the role of CEO are currently being interviewed and from 1 November a new Commercial Director will start. Martijn Kaag will remain connected with Connectis as an advisor in the field of product development. He will also remain involved as a shareholder, through his foundation, which has a 35% stake in Connectis.
Strengthening position and realising growth ambitions
As from the beginning of this year, SIDN has had a majority stake in Connectis. SIDN is the administrator of the .nl domain. The company has extensive expertise in-house and is a powerful player in the Dutch and international internet sector. This cooperation allows us to strengthen our position and realise our growth ambitions. Big steps have been taken in the past few months, together with SIDN, to further professionalise our organisation. With the founder of Connectis stepping back, another important step towards becoming a mature company has been taken.
